Dear all,
I am glad to know that, apart from a few who are still in Australia, that most of you have returned to HK safe and sound last night.
As Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the WPFG 2007 of the Hong Kong Police, I have set out to get sufficient fund to assist our players to take part in the games, to take you all to Adelaide and back home safely. I am glad that I have done all that.
I am gald that you all have a wonderful time in Adelaide, on and off the sporting venues, and that is important. You have tried your best in the games you participated and won friendship. Some of you are good enough to win medals and I congratulate you on your success. For those who have not won anything, you all had a good time and you had shown the true spirit of a sportsman or sportswoman. Remember, winning medals is not our only objective for going to Adelaide.
Meanwhile, the number of medals you have obtained is a record.
I must thank you all for the understanding, patience and support given to me all the way.
There are a few unsound heroes behind the scene that makes your trip a possibility. I must thank Mr David Ng, DC TM and members of the Editorial Group (Kathereine Cheung, Kalvin HO, Gemini FAN, Terence YOUNG, Steve Wordsworth) for their sterling efforts, commitment and professionalism in the best traditions of HKP. They have devoted a lot of their own time to ensure that the Magazine is an outstanding one.
A special vote of thanks should go to the Chairmen of the various sports clubs for their excellent efforts in outreaching to their friends in the private sector in securing advertisements for the Magazine.
Thanks should also go to Ryan (in HK) and Simon (in Adelaide) for working very hard to make the trip a success.
I have separately thanked DCP MAN and DC&S for joining the tour and giving us support.
You should be able to see some of the photos I have taken in the picasaweb.wpfg2007.com. I think the photos are downloadable. Please also supply quality photos to Ryan so that he can uplaod them in the album.
See you again in the not too distant future when we can meet and talk about our good times in Adelaide.
Regards
Charlie CHEUNG
